I also like ebay for mostly my half dollar collection, for morgans my best deals are gun shows and local on line auctions. Around here we have two local online auctions that will sometimes auction off a whole coin collection with local pick up. I also watch their estate auctions that will have a few coins, right now I am watching one that has a 1900 and 1921 morgan up for bid |

I have collected a complete kennedy silver(no clad) set of proofs, working on the franklin proofs, the older ones are hard to find cheap. Already have a complete set of franklin bullion. Also working on a complete set of walker halves, but several of the early years are hard to find

I just started collecting morgans and luckily we have a local on line auction house that auctions a lot of coins, so I bid on the MS graded ones for my ms collection in an album, I also am collecting lesser grades for my whitman folder I find at gun shows. sometimes the lesser grades go into my album until a Ms replacement shows up. with so many minted, lots of nice ones can be found. |

I noticed on my morgans, those with an MS grade, weight with in the tolerance of 26.73 grams +/- .097. my one AU50 weights 26.60, my VF, have several, all weigh 26.40 and my lone VG10 weights 26.20. Sooo can weight loss be a way of determining grade? |
