@Jim0815: I didn't even notice that, actually. That's good to know. :)
I was looking at the letters. Especially the words "God" and "We" and also the date.

I need help with another one. Something appears to be going on, on the obverse. It took me a few tries to get good pictures, so I hope they're clear.
Thank you all so much for your expertise. I'm learning more every day.

There is a D shape turned counterclockwise to the final D mint mark.

What is this? What caused it? (Especially the S in the first picture... it has an extra bump.)

I included pictures of the back too, so I could show the area behind the 'doughnut hole' thing.

Machine doubling? Or DDO? I compared it to pictures on CopperCoins, but I can't figure it out.

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

@silviosi That's totally fine. No apology needed. I was just confused what you meant.

Is this a repunched mint mark? With a die... something?

I just want to add a thank you to all you experts who have answered my questions and looked at the pictures I've posted.

@silviosi What do you mean by change the dealer? I found this coin today out of a coin roll and I was just categorizing it for adding to my collection.
The serif is there a little bit, but it's definitely not normal, at least to my eyes, and the top bar looks pretty thin. Just curious what caused it.

I found this today. Has anyone seen this before? Any help on cause? Is it an error, or the result of too much grease on a die? The coin is in such good condition that I don't think it's the result of being scraped or anything like that.
(Don't mind the A11 -- that's just part of my own categorizing system.)

Would this be the result of grease on the die? There are no gouges. It just looks totally smooth, like that part of the die went missing.

I assumed this is just browning from environmental damage, but the silver color shows pretty bright in some sections on the rim, and the weight is 2.29 g. If it were missing a clad layer, it should be less than 2.27, and definitely not more. I'm pretty sure it's not on a penny planchett because the size is right for a dime.
In the first picture, you can see the brownness. In the second picture, I used a very bright light, so the brownness is quite washed out. The third picture shows the weight.

I would've thought that about the "S" too, except that it's so shiny and new and there are basically no marks on it at all. It just really does look like something is 'shifted'. And I thought about grease, but the end of the 'stubby' E thing looks rounded, just like it's supposed to be. So...

So sorry. I must've had a tired mom moment.

The coin is a 2022 D.

@HotCoins13: I have no idea. It's not on any 'valuable' lists that I know of.

I came across this fun one today. It's super shiny, so I had to take pictures from a few different angles to try to show it as true as possible. But the bottom line of the "E" on "We" is pretty stubby, compared to the "E" in "Liberty." I need to look at other coins from that year to see if it's the same. And the S looks 'broken' but it could just be the lighting. Kind of a fun find. :)

Coins. I meant coins. Not corns.
One last question--is the DDD also the reason that the LIB look smaller than the ERTY, and why they look like they're sitting kind of to the left, as though they're a bit separate from the ERTY?
Again, I know what mint errors and varieties I'm supposed to be looking for. I've watched lots of YT videos and now I'm just enjoying looking at lots of different coins to see what all the 'other' things that can go wrong look like.
I know this isn't on the usual lists. I just really do love to understand all the 'whys' and I like to look at different coins, and this one has intrigued me.
Thanks.
