I picked up 25 customer wrapped rolls. The good news was I found 4 2024 D and 1 2024 P. Bad news, only the 2024P and one 2024 D were not environmentally damaged by the pinkish corrosion which I could not remove with acetone.
Just finished my best box of Half Dollars. Its been a long dry spell. I found 15 40%'s and 1 1964. Also, a1982 1/2 Medio-Balboa from Panama in XF condition. . Unfortunately I do not know how to upload the images
I found a Proof 1942 Philadelphia regular composition while coin roll hunting. I consider it one of my best finds. I have most of the fifties in my added Dansco page. I admire Dearborn's collection. If you haven't looked, you might want to see his highly collectible Jefferson Proof collection.
Most recent article on the internet states that the mint had not revealed an additional 20 million 2024 P nickels have been produced in November. However, the lowest mintage in decades for the Denver remains at 32 million total, hence the hefty price tag for rolls on EBAY for 2024 D. But who is to say that the Denver mint will not produce a last-minute allocation, popping the balloon. Let's wait and see.
Teller had two loose rolls today and one had a 1969 40%...quite dirty. Yesterday, I found a gold plated 1988 Kennedy counter stamped with a Kennedy head facing right in the field toward Kennedy's head and "1968 and 1963" counter stamped underneath on the left and right respectively. 1963 was the year he was assassinated, but I do not know the significance of the 1968.
