That's a double die error or DD. DDO since it's on obverse.

Not the most spectacular example of overinked/over-inked overinking on a note but it's in crisp new condition and contains the one overinked 8 plus 2 normal 8s for comparison.

Has a coppery, slightly brassy tone. Green corrosion splotchy on obverse and reverse, but dominant all around edge, associated with copper?

I have been keeping an eye out for W West Point mint mark ATB America the Beautiful quarters for 6 months.
On Monday I found a Northern Mariana Islands and Thursday a Connecticut. You have to be fast to check for these mint marks and make change rapidly. I treasure them. 2019 W quarter, 2020 W quarter.
Both appear VERY LIGHTLY circulated but I cannot judge grades.
Possible error on the rim of the 2020 (last two pics)

Got it on a scale. 4.81 grams. Does this change anything?

Since the consensus was that it was PMD, I cleaned it, just a light rinse with warm water for 30 seconds. So now, are you SURE it's not improperly annealed or other mint error?

I've been off the board for a bit and have some interesting finds. Here's one. Rich copper color on both sides and edges. I've posted a lot of coins I thought were improperly annealed but the experts said we're PMD. This one is the real deal I believe.

Well, I weighed it on a scale with grams, testing against a lot of other quarters. About 5.67. Normal.

I haven't posted silver found in circulation, besides a nickel or two because they were in particularly excellent condition. Haven't found any for a while so was excited about this one, and it's pretty sweet

Found in the street, worth a buck and a half, at least, based on past sales. Slightly smaller than a quarter and larger than a nickel. Made 1991-2004.

Here are pics in natural light as requested, this time next to a counterpart "normal" 2000 D Massachusetts. I haven't been able to get in on a scale yet.

when graded MS 67 or 68, they are quite valuable. Especially true for the quarter (MS 67 $125 and 68 $4,000+. -PCGS)

Here is another Bicentennial I just found in circulation, not pictured in OP. Pictures can't do it justice. Like new. Absolutely the finest 1776 I have seen. Maybe MS 67?

It's hard to justify keeping modern circulated non-star $100s.

1990 is "modern"? 33 years old, good condition. Average age of a $100 is between 7.5 and 22.9 years from what I see. If it's selling for $120 now and could possibly be worth $200 in 20 years (not a great investment, but a decent one) I want to keep it, but mainly I just like it.
