Ok, so, I have spent about 8 hours over the last 2 days trying to figure out HOW to post my pictures on here. I loaded the apps and well, to be honest, I have yet to solve the mystery. This has been very frustrating, unlike the actual finding the coins! #129322; So, let's cut through the chase. I know that several of the local "coin dealers" in my area, are not reputable, so I thought I would try my luck for some advice on this forum. I'm a holistic practitioner, I work with my hands and the gifts God has given me. However, technology is NOT my forte'! I do really good to use my cellphone and smart car. #129318;#8205;#9792;#65039; I have been through massive amounts of coins (mostly errors, doubling, cuds, etc) and I have about a hundred or so I would love to find out more about. I would love to learn more about the whole coin collecting process (possibly even sell some). I have a collection that I have gone through for my Mother as well (mostly old coins collected by my step-father). I can travel anywhere from Memphis -Nashville, TN and even to Western KY. If allowed, please recommend an honest, trustworthy coin specialist in these areas. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

I'm new to this, but I found several coins with the same issue(s) and was curious to know if I needed to try to keep them to sell or just let them go back to the bank. The first issue (I hesitate to call them errors, because I honestly don't know& & 🤷 #8205;#9792;#65039;) is a circular pattern around the edges of the coin. I have found 4 total so far, 2 on the obverse sides and 2 on the reverse sides. The second issues seems to be a bit more common. It appears to look like "dental mold" trim. A series of patterned strikes (usually 2-5) sometimes once, but as many as 3 times on the obverse side of the coin. It may be a bit difficult to tell from my photos. Any information about these will be greatly appreciated! |
