Supposedy at the next coin show, this coming Sunday, several dealers promised to give me a real large assortment. One of them is the dealer that gave me over 40 of them not long ago. If there are any I'll mark this post and let you know by next Sunday. |

cool idea, I will have my little brother try and ask for some old folders and albums for himself. He could use them a lot more then me. It's worth a shot

If not I'd be happy with any album that you wouldn't mind parting with, I dont have one album in my collection. It would go to good use....I could use any. I'd even pay for shipping! PM me.

just Carl, I dream about these albums so if you have any extra Lincoln, Jefferson or State Quarter that you wont need, I would be happy to pay the shipment and I dont think it will cost much as you will ship to my friends in Chicago. If not, just keep me in your mind when you go to the next show  |

Had a free one given to my grandson today. The dealer had them 3 for a dollar but he gave it to him when we made another purchase.

But to send to someone in the Chicago area shouldn't be to bad at all. I never know what I'm going to get from those dealers at the coin shows but I'll keep you in mind and let you know. And if in Chicago, find out if in the NorthWest area and if so, I might be able to just drop them off. |

Everyone once in a while I get a spare folder and give it to my church. We have a childrens program (kind of like Boy Scouts) where they can earn badges for completing various projects. There is a coin collecting badge.

Now here is something funny. I have no idea how to use a PM thing on this forum. Didn't even know there was a place or tag or whatever to go to a PM place. Never received one that I know of and wouldn't know if I did since I don't know where that would show up. This old age stuff is getting to be something. |

I'm going to ask for albums the next time I go to a coin show. I've never been to one before. I'm getting paid tomorrow so I'm going to the coin shop and I'm going to ask there as well. So far, I purchased my Lincoln Cent Dansco album brand new. I'm planning on getting a Jefferson nickel and a Indian Head cent album. |

All the coin shows I goto here locally have used coin albums for sell.The two coin shops I go to sell new albums and very rarely have used ones?

The thing I constantly repeat is you have to ASK. People just don't ask about those and many other things. At coin shows start coversations with dealers then ask what they do with Albums they get when they buy collections from people. So far I've found many that say they throw them away. That is when you say can you just bring me some? Nothing to loose by ASKING. Quote:
