I know they are crappy scans, don't know how to scan with detail like I have seen others do, even though my scanner does 2400 dpi..?...When I look at it at home, it looks real...Will try to get a better and more detailed scan, and post more pictures.

Hope this is a little better detail....?...Though you are probably correct about being blunt, even though it does not appear that way...!

Wert, once you have a 1965 pointed 5 in your hands, you will see how drastically different it is, and never forget it. If you want, send me email using the 'email poster' function here, and I'll send you free 1965 Type 1 (pointed 5, small beads) penny, so at least you'll have a reference to hunt for the elusive type 4s.

littlemoney - you did well to land the set for that price.

wert - so sorry, but your penny has the blunt five. As SPP mentions, there definitely is a dramatic difference between the two. Keep hunting!

Will definitely keep an eye open for one....It is a shame that my unc penny wasn't the one I thought it was, would be a good find.

Define "better" in the context you are using it. Are you referring to quality of the strike? lustre? contrast between devices and field? which one is worth more? Let me answer your question with another question - do you like your coin?
