dude, that was your own coin. LOL sorry you didn't get more for it. I have found that IHC don't command a good price unless they are 1) a key/semi key date 2) or if theya re in super high grades. Heck I got an 1862 cn listed and I am not holding my breath. 3rd time listing it.

I was watching your auction and was surprised too. I had it pegged at a $12 coin. But, I already have too many 1909 IHCs. That's the thing with ebay, sometimes you take a bath and sometimes you can do pretty well.
Rest in Peace

I'm sorry you didnt get more for your coin, a solution is to start with a higher starting bid. I purposely scour ebay for midrange indians with low starting bids as I know there can be some great deals out there. Here is one I'm kicking myself as I had it on my watch list but forgot to bid on it. What a steal:

Maybe opening it to North America Shipping or at least to include Canada. There are a lot of collectors of US coinage north of the border but if no one will ship to us we both can lose out.

Nice coin. Sorry you did not realize higher bids.

I acquired my 1909 in that condition for that money a few months ago.

That's a very nice '09--definitely worth more!
I guess that's why I don't do auctions--I set a fair price, and if it sells, then great.

Wow that 1864 L was a steal at $10.00 I think we all would have bid on that if we has scene it. Like someone here mentioned in the thread sometimes you win sometimes the buyer does.

Unfortunately, on ebay sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug. You went SPLAT! this time.

I've been adding some IHC to my collection lately because I noticed the prices coming down. Don't know why. I don't buy high end stuff so I'm not sure if they are dropping but the low end stuff is.

the reason it didn't sell for more is probably a combination of a few things, the main ones probably being the two top bidders it did have didn't think it was worth more (or at least one didn't) and the ones that did think it was worth more either didn't see it or forgot about it and didn't bid on it. With auctions if there isn't at least 2 bidders that are willing to pay FMV for the coin it always sells for less than FMV

I can think of a few things like that.
