I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a Constantine I because I am not coming up with exact legend and device matches. I am also finding a few come close in Constantius II

Unfortunately, I'm also having problems attributing the Claudius II Gothicus Antoninianus as well. I see nothing on Wildwinds or Dirty old coins that matches a goddess facing left with left hand raised high. Not an exact match, anyways.

As for the second coin your correct about it being GLORIA EXERCITVS.
You need to concentrate on Constantines sons to attribute it.
Does the obverse legend end in 'NVS PF AVG' or 'IVS PF AVG'? This should help you decide between the two.

It looks like NVS PF AVG, but it is really hard to tell and I can't read anything before that part of the legend. I'm pretty sure it's either Constantine II or Constantius II, but leaning more towards Constantine II.

Just say the word and I'll tell you how I attributed both coins. Of course, I could just as easily be wrong.

For the Claudius II Gothicus I found a close match. I looked at this one before but wasn't sure. Wildwinds photo: RIC 191 Claudius II Gothicus AE Antoninianus. Siscia mint. IMP CLAVDIVS AVG, radiate draped bust right / SPES AVG, Spes walking left holding flower and hem of robe. Cohen 276.

I attributed the Claudius II coin just as you did. RIC 191. As for the other coin, you are on the right track with Constantine II, Gloria Exercitvs. Take a little more time before I post what I thought about it.

Here is another one that I think looks close. Constantine II RIC VIII 24v Wildwinds photo:

OK, Let me give just one more hint. This came in a lot of uncleaned coins with every one originating from Siscia. Look real close at the mintmark. Perhaps magnify the image and see if there is something you can make out. Again, I could be using my imagination here, but I think I see something.

On Wildwinds, I looked at all the ones from Siscia and those that closely match the design on the reverse do not on the obverse as it says (part of the legend) PF AVG. The coin below says CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C. I think the reverse of this one matches closely from Wildwinds. The obverse has a different legend. Constantine II, AE4, Siscia. CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, laureate, cuirassed bust right / GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, two soldiers holding spears and shields with one standard between them. O on banners. Mintmark: epsilon SIS star. RIC VII Siscia 262.

Well, it looks like you may be correct. It could;d very well be Constantine II RIC VIII 24v from Constantinople rather than Siscia.

We shall see but it is really hard to tell. I will make out an attribution card for it now. Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it!
