I think we should have gotten a hold of Ivyee.....
My Nephew ordered 4 of these when I told him of the advertised price on Amazon...
His response from them regarding his email got this response:

received a large quantity of orders just in a couple of hours on

However, as you prefer to wait for the package, we will arrange an air
shipment from our supplier in the next few days, we will ship the
products out as soon as possible and keep you updated accordingly!


We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience
related to your order.

SUCCESS ! A little persistence pays off...... after several (firm but polite) email exchanges, they finally relented and will be shipping the LED light panel out tomorrow, they say. For $0.01.

I, too, thought about canceling the order, but decided to wait it out. Glad I did. After sending them a screen shot of that exact item as "in stock" for $64.99 I found on their storefront this morning, they must've realized they had painted themselves into a corner.

If they hadn't already authorized my CC I might have backed down, but a deal is a deal.

In response to your email, No... I do not wish to cancel my order!

A sales' transaction was completed, you debited my account and took my money.

Any "Glitches" between you and Amazon, are between you and Amazon.... NOT ME.

As I have been researching this, I have discovered that there are Legal Rules and Regulations that have to be followed:

According to the Federal Trade Commission, failure to fulfill the order as placed may be a violation of Federal consumer protection regulations:


Sec. 238.3 Discouragement of purchase of advertised merchandise.

No act or practice should be engaged in by an advertiser to discourage the purchase of the advertised merchandise as part of a bait scheme to sell other merchandise. Among acts or practices which will be considered in determining if an advertisement is bona fide offers are:

(a) The refusal to show, demonstrate, or sell the product offered in accordance with the terms of the offer.

(b) The disparagement by acts or words of the advertised product or the disparagement of the guarantee, credit terms, availability of service, repairs or parts, or in any other respect, in connection with it.

(c) The failure to have available at all outlets listed in the advertisement a sufficient quantity of the advertised product to meet reasonably anticipated demands, unless the advertisement clearly and adequately discloses that supply is limited and/or the merchandise is available only at designated outlets.

(d) The refusal to take orders for the advertised merchandise to be delivered within a reasonable period of time.

(e) The showing or demonstrating of a product which is defective, unusable or impractical for the purpose represented or implied in the advertisement.

(f) Use of a sales plan or method of compensation for salesmen or penalizing salesmen, designed to prevent or discourage them from selling the advertised product.

As for you claim that the item is "Out of Stock" I see that you have relisted them same item again for sale on Amazon.

Since you are advertising that the item is for sale again I'll be expecting mine to be shipped to me promptly.

Any further "Stalling" and I will be forced to make a formal complaint.

OK.... You are going to complete their purchase orders and send the items to them, but not me?

Let's see:

Item listed on an Internationally known website ( Amazon.com).
Item available and for sale.
Item purchased by me.
Money taken from my Credit Card account to pay for the purchase.
Email asking me to cancel order since LaptopMate and Amazon had a problem with the order (Item Out of Stock).
Item back in stock and advertised again on fore mentioned Website.
Emails sent to known individuals of mine by LaptopMate that the items are back in stock and will be shipped to them.

Email sent to me stating:

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please be advised, we did not have the products you need on sale. In this case, would you please do us a favor to provide us the listing you referred and the Asin. Really appreciate your kind understanding and cooperation.

Please keep us updated and we are always here to assist you. Sorry again for all the trouble this purchase may caused you!

And the drama continues........DON'T give up, folks ! We've got 'em by the short ones, and they know it.

My guess is most folks would simply cancel their order and call it a day. I'll bet that's what they were hoping for, anyway.

This outfit is aka Fantasia Trading LLC out of southern Kalifornia, I believe. Does it bother me that I've got them over a barrel ? Not one bit.

COOL! Just received the email from them stating that they will send me the unit that I purchased.

In their email to me they state that the screen shot that I sent them was wrong, it was for another product.....

Filite 160 LED Digital Camera CN-160 LED VIDEO LIGHT Ultra High Power / Camcorder , for Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Panasonic, Sony, Leica , Samsung and Olympus Digital SLR Cameras..... was the product advertised and displayed with a photo showing the unit on the "New in stock" advertisement.

Sounds to me that they have more of a problem than just their Amazon inventory "Glitch".

Listed below is their email back to me:

Hope everyone else that ordered gets their's too. Yeah, it's been a PITA, but the persistence has paid off.

Had I done that, I could no longer look at a gentleman in the mirror each morning. You're a valuable member here, and I enjoy interacting with you, but we're going to have to agree to disagree on whether beating a retailer over a typo is an honorable act.

Dont feel bad CitizenPatriot, I, too, would have done the same thing. There is a practice called proof reading, and the price is probably the first thing one should check before listing something for sale.

I would have hopped on board for the cheap product - but I do not need it :)

I must admit that I was hopeful this deal would turn out to be "real", and placed my own order just in case. I've been thinking about buying something like this anyway. But when Apple at Laptopmate wrote to me asking to cancel the order, it was clear they made a major mistake and I told them to go ahead and cancel, and no need to send the conciliatory car charger...Ray

I worked at Best Buy a while back,and when they had a typo in their circular,they would just say it was a mistake and that was that!....There is no way I would have honored that Mistake!
