It is posthumous Claudius II Gothicus with a flaming altar reverse. I can give you the RIC number if you like or you can look it up. The obverse legend should be DIVO CLAVDIO and the reverse legend should read CONSACRATIO.

Gothicus is a nickname that Claudius II received when he routed two large Goth barbarian armies on the northern frontiers.

According to Historia Augusta; "We have destroyed three hundred and twenty thousand Goths, we have sunk two thousand ships. The rivers are covered over with their shields, all the banks are buried under their swords and their spears. The fields are hidden beneath their bones."

Ouch guys! I thought JW's Augustus looked pretty good. Mine of course looks like it has been around the block... twice! I'm glad that the Glaudius II is the real deal. And yes, when I saw that altar on the back it had me wondering if I had picked up another Augustus, except for the crowned emperor! Don't recall seeing any Augustus' with a crown.
