Have the critter in hand now and one word.... WOW!
I noted one small ding on the Indian's right frontal calf and a bit larger one on the Conestoga canvas about two-thirds of the way towards the rear. Other than that.... AMAZING.... NS, Muddler and all - best guesses on grade please. This beauty is definitely taking a trip to PCGS.... Can you tell I'm stoked?

Excellent detail photos PG. Much nicer than any I could produce.

Sooo ... what is going on with the obverse rim between 3pm to 4pm ... appears 'squished' a bit?

Nonetheless .... I'm sticking with my grade guess stated prior ...

My opinion ... PCGS would holder this at MS67 ... that makes it a $700 coin and the bargain of the year so far amongst our small commemorative family.

Looking forward to PCGS views.

I really think it will go at least MS 66, such a beautiful coin.

Wow! Amazing coin! This coin looks at least a MS-66. Tough to find any marks.

The Oregon's on its way to PCGS along with the four 1996 Olympic BU commems. Let's hope MS-68 is the lowest grade of the five....

Are we opening a pool on what the Oregon comes back at? I've got my money on 67, and if it comes back below 66 I'll go down the the PCGS offices to deliver beatings personally.

If we are taking a poll on grading the Oregon Trail, I would say MS-65. I see a few marks and blemishes on it.

And are the stars normally that weak on the reverse? First and second look weaker than the third and fourth.

When are you sending it to PCGS?

Just got the email from PCGS with the grade on the Oregon..... MS-65.... Don't understand that one... OK Wiffy GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GET EM!

On the positive side, sent four of the Atlanta Olympic BU's in. Three got a MS-69 and one got a MS-70.

Wow ... I was going PCGS MS67 ... not sure what I missed on this one.

Sorry PG ... IMHO the coin should be graded higher ... but you do have a lovely coin and that is what matters.
