5 grams? That would mean it's 81.3% missing!

I've seen pet rocks with more character.

Is this a 'Map Coin'?
The shape of it reminds me a an Old Country.
ANY old country!

Pretty sad coin, but it would make an interesting necklace, which it looks like it was used for from the drilled hole in it. There are people that like and collect sets of ugly coins too.

I think if you take that coin to the cliffs along the shoreline near Astoria, Oregon, and look for 2 rocks that can be seen through the holes in that coin at the same time, you will have a treasure map to One-Eye Willy's secret stash...

I laughed out loud at that comment ljenkins990. Laughed out loud...at my desk...in my cubicle...at the office...while everyone around me was being quiet. Oops.

What's done is done. If only that coin could speak...it would have an interesting story to tell.

For example: ``Why the heck did somebody drill two holes in me, scrape my sides off, scrub me with a wire brush, sandblast me with industrial tools, try to paint me gold and carve, on my back, ``frindship`` with a rusty spoon.``

Well, like you said, what's done is done
