Outstanding Silver Bullion Coin

I have purchased from both APMEX and Provident several times (as well as SilverTowne) and have never had a security issue of any kind. My shipments always come VERY securely and anonymously wrapped and they always require an adult's signature for delivery. No muss, no fuss, and NO problems. Not sure what you heard but whatever it was, I haven't seen it in any of my business dealings with any of these companies. They have this down to a science as far as I can tell.

Good call Pobox on that 2nd series, as you are indeed a great source of information an right up at the top, for nicer end silver an gold items, as well as unique coin currency throughout the entire stinkin planet, as your world round 1 oz. thread clearly shows....

With that being said, I still think they will have sought after collector group, but like you say they probably will not fork out the money ever in the amounts they do for the first 12 year run of coins....

Still, guys buy them at Provident, an turn right back around an immediately list them for at-least a hundred more then what they got them at Provident, and I bet they sell pretty decent, even though I have not looked at the closed auctions list for those new 2nd series 10 oz. Lunar dragons....

I have mainly purchased American Eagles and rounds and bars for several years now, but yesterday I received my first batch of 2011 silver maples. I am completely blown away. They look almost like reverse proofs and are absolutely stunning. Next month I am for sure getting some of these moose coins. I wish I had bought some Canadian coins sooner.

Perhaps so. Since all of these shipments are insured, a lost package should be a problem for the seller and not the customer. Also, they do require a signature from the customer, so if there is any doubt about who received what, one can always ask to see a copy of the signed receipt. Oh, they don't have one for this order? Well then, that IS their problem!

I also have not seen a lot on these web sites about various shipping options. From my experience, they choose the shipping method. From Provident's own web site, we have:




OK, so they can do special shipping, if ordered, but I suspect that most of their customers just take whatever shipping is standard to help keep costs low. These are still secure methods of shipment. The last thing any PM business wants is unhappy customers who do not order more products from them.

I can see where you might be skeptical about the raves about their business on the web site of any company. It would be easy enough to delete any that were uncomplimentary. Word of that would get around, though, and pretty quickly too. We Internet folks are not a bit shy about criticizing those who deserve it.

FYI, Gatewest Coin's website states the Moose bullion starts shipping on March 1. I'd imagine other sites will ship then as well.

I live in NH so I may have to hit some of those up!
