Wow, what the heck is going on here? Now it's an 1889 o?

OK, to solve this problem, I loaded the images to my own server and am hosting the images from there. Hopefully, everyone now sees an 1879-P obv/rev. Sorry

Nice clean fields, hardly a mark anywhere else on it. I'm going with MS-65.

It looks pretty even to me, with a few breaks in places. I will take another look and give you a better answer in a few moments, OK.

WOW, I did a little better grading on this coin than I did on the 1880-S. I had her at a conservative MS64.
Suggestions on where I should list this coin in my/our eCrater store? I do hesitate to say what I paid, someone may expect to get the coin for that amount... If any of YOU (you know who YOU are) want to know, I will send you a message through the CCF message center.

What do you mean where should you list it at? I have a sneaking suspicion you sold the coin last night, have you logged onto your ecrater store?

No, I have not logged into the eCrater store. Was this coin listed already?

Well that was not intentional. I thought it was saved as a draft listing, till a more solid price could be attained.
I will contact the buyer and see if they will cancel the order. If they are willing to negotiate, what value should I give the coin?
Mistakes happen... besides, the money is not for me. I hope they will understand that I am not going to 'throw away' $500.

You are going to have a difficult time getting 65 money out of this coin without it being slabbed first. As I said above, the graders are really tough on these because of the jump in price from 64-65. The coin could be a 65 based on the pics but it could also very well be a 64 which is what you thought it was in hand, correct?

Yes, my initial thoughts were MS64... but coming from me, that is/was a pure guess.
Either way, it was a complete accident that the coin was listed for sale. I sent the buyer a message explaining the circumstances. I have not yet heard anything in return. Perhaps they will go a little higher than what they paid and ease the pain so to speak. If not, ethics over dollars is my/our motto.

Even though the coin should not have been on the active sales list of our eCrater store, it was and it is my/our fault.
I/we have decided to do the right thing, ethically, and complete the sale. The buyer is so pleased that they promise to spread the word about our store and will purchase from us again in the future. You can't ask for more than that, right?
