yes the reverse is blank. it is a seperate note. it is a very small note 1.5" x 3"

sorry I meant to say it was seperated from a bond. so I guess it is called a clipped note.

I have never heard them refered to as coupon. They are actually a reciept for a pyment against a loan. proof of payment....

actually It seems to be relatively common to find them in peoples possesion as well Where in NY I am From PA.

coldshot did you mean grandson of us president tyler? jefferson davis was the only confederate president. I did not know it was his grandsons signature. I wonder if it makes it worth any more?

IT WAS THE PRESIDENTS GRANDSON SORRY ABOUT THE NAME MIXIN AND NO IT doesn't MAKE IT MORE VALUEABLE.sorry bout the caps If it were not clipped and ya had the whole deal it would be very high. And I wont swear to the signature. That is what I came up with in googling the first time I saw one of these. Better off trying to find the whole deal instead of just the clipped off bond. They do have a value and go on ebay for a lot more than they are worth.
