Your question was completely valid. His response was uncalled for.

I would also question what he means by "eye clean", especially with his own added quotes. That and the use of "@@" in the word "looking". I stay away from anyone that does that in their listing.

your question was a good question...I also wrote to this seller to see how he reacts to another inquiry...I figure if he keeps blocking people for asking questions,he wont have many bidders left to buy his stuff

I think the response was uncalled for...but I can see why he did it.(I don't agree with it though) If I were to make a guess as to why the block... He's probably afraid you're going to purchase the item, get it in hand, not agree with the color and want to return it. He doesn't want to go through all the troubles, so instead he blocked you. Horrible way to do business, but ebay does bring out the best in people...

I see nothing wrong with asking questions, I encourage it in my listings. Although his/her response and actions were totally inappropriate, IMO.

The guy's a real hothead--wouldn't it be easier to answer in a civil manner? He might as well block everyone.

I see that is what is in the title of the listing. I see that is what ANACS graded it. But what I see with my own two eyes is a brown coin. I thought it could be the scan or maybe my monitor. What I didn't expect was the snide response and subsequent blocking for what I thought was a simple question.

Like was mentioned before I think he was more worried that you would buy it, not like the color when you see it and want to return it so he just is avoiding a potential problem. That said he could have been more polite about it and isn't someone you want to deal with.

Auction was ended by seller. I see a couple other people sent him a question about the color and received the same type of response. Oh well . Other sellers I would rather spend my money with anyway.

I asked a similar question and here is the response. Much more cordial to start, but same ending: Quote: Hi! Please Note that the coin is RB BUT more B then R and as the listing states the scanned photos never do justice to most coins and even tougher on copper coins. I purchased the coin because I liked it and this coin was already ANACS slabbed. I am currently looking to purchase equipment to get better photos, any suggestions within reasonable pricing would be appreciated and welcomed. Therefore if the low opening bid is not enough incentive DO NOT BID on this coin and STAY HAPPY. Thanks.
