I don't understand what you mean about stevex6's coin being a fake shot from a model. What does that mean? Is the coin fake or the photo isn't right according to in-hand?

Tanks for the vote Doug. It may not be pretty or worth much, but IMO it's an important piece.

Hey, I voted for your coin/token too. lol
So, stevex6's photo of the coin isn't real, but the coin is? Still puzzled over this and want to know so that I can think about how I voted before time runs out.

I will vote for echizentos coin as my #1 Byzantine pick because everything about that token symbolizes the Byzantine empires values being attributed as made out of the ashes of the actual cross of Jesus Christ- they where very religious and this token just is proof of that. My second place would be stevex6's coin because bronze coins of this quality are very hard to come by. My third pick is also because of its nice condition and another bronze eng5858's Great looking and huge Anastasius.

Quote: Tanks for the vote Doug. It may not be pretty or worth much, but IMO it's an important piece. Before we place too much importance on it remember that if all of the supposed pieces of the True Cross advertised in the Middle Ages were brought together in one place there would be enough wood to rebuild Noah's Ark. I really wish I knew who originated that line but I do not doubt its accuracy. I do, however, agree that the item is interesting and well worth a place in a historical collection even if it is not exactly a coin.

Gold: #1 of course the wonderful coin of Masis
Silver: #1 Doug Smiths' second coin. Very cool.
Bronze: #1 jessvc1s' second coin. I like the coin and the mint mark.
All cool coins from everyone.

only "51" minutes remaining to bid ... sure, I admit that masis' gold coin is a clear runaway ... but there are still two or three other coins that are battling it out for silver and bronze!! c'mon => get off your hands and vote ... it's free!!

Good enough ... I want to hit the sack, so I'm gonna list the results (hopefully they're accurate enough ... the winner was an obvious decision, so good enough) First of all => there were "15" coins entered into SMACKDOWN #1 (Byzantine) ... I thought that was aweome ... good job everybody!! NOTE => I've decided to use the following rating scale: Gold Medal (3pts) Silver Medal (2 pts) Bronze Medal (1 pts) Ofiicial-enough Results:Masis' Nuclear => (7 Gold) + (2 Silver) = 25 pts dougsmit's 2nd coin => (5 Silver) = 10 pts echizento's token => (3 Gold) = 9pts other chumps looking-up at the dudes on the podium:stevex6's coin => (2 Silver) + (3 Bronze) = 7pts jessvc1's 2nd coin => (5 Bronze) = 5 pts Eng5858's coin => (1 Silver) + (2 Bronze) = 4pts => Excellent effort by everybody involved!!

My congratulations go out to all the winners, especially Masis for having such a fine specimen. I'd be proud to show her off as well. Now you have that bragging right to go along with it.
