I have a 1935 $100 gold certificate that my grandmother gave me. Because it has a tellers stamp on it, it's worth $100. Wish she would have redeemed it for five double eagles!

No one mentioned the cufflinks! The coins are nice but the cufflinks look like they are the most valueable bit (pressumably quite heavy from the looks of it)
I am quite fond of cufflinks (I have quarter krugarands in mine) but if you havent got any cufflink-shirts weigh them up, trade them in and you can buy a nice coin or two.

David, I have no use for the links, but tomorrow I will be bringing them in to a jeweler to get an appraisal and see if they are truly gold. And if so I will be definitely be cashing it into some silver!

Coinstar, I understand. That was actually my boss's figure on them. I looked them up later and seen them booked in un-used condition at $0.35 a piece

Quote: My boss used to be somewhat of a stamp collector, and he checked his books and the ones I have may be worth up to $2 or $3 a piece! I get these quite frequently from a coin/stamp/collectibles dealer I know for 80% of face value when I buy $25.00 face or more for postage. I have actually used full sheets of both of these two exact stamps for postage. Most of the postage stamps issued since 1934 have virtually no value above face value, even the plate blocks and sheets. Ed ANA LM-3175
