Down load photobucket to your computer. This will make things a lot easier.

Right, they don't list it as silver on your slab because it isn't silver.

O ok nice to see the example, so they are clad which makes the 2001-s worth $175, and the 3 others are very close to same price of silver ones in PF70. Am I right about the value of the 2001?

Yes your valuation would be correct assuming the coins are actually PF70 DCAM most people will grade the coin and not the slab especially if it isn't one of the top 3 TPGs.

No in this case the coins themselves are spotless, with the exception of the 2000 has tiny dot on it. Payed $65 for all four, now find they are worth close to $400!! Excellent day for me thank you guys for getting me on right track!

ICG isn't in the top 3? Is Anacs better? I think the ICG slab with that special ring they have is one of the best. I usually buy only pcgs, but prefer ICG to NGC, personally. I will be trading or selling these ASAP, get another 70 set of SF eagle set from silvertowne perhaps or another ATB graded puck!

I consider ANACS above ICG personally because it's been around longer but I'm sure others would disagree and think ICG is third. I usually only shop PCGS or NGC though if I'm looking for slabbed coins. I mostly deal with raw though, not usually worth the premiums to me.

TPG's considered "the top three" are PCGS, NGC, ANACS, in that order. It is unlikely that a coin graded 70 by ICG will hold that grade if sent to PCGS.

ICG is a decent grading company but they can be a bit enthusiastic with high grade moderns. ICG PR70DC= everyone elses PR69DC so no, they will be worth what you paid and not $400. PCGS Price Guide only applies to PCGS graded coins and even then, the values tend to be on the high side.

Do not use the crooks price guide. It is as over inflated as their reputation. I use Coin World prices as a general guide. They are decent retail values. As for the TPGs themselves, ANACS and ICG are the only two I will ever use. I will buy coins in the slabs of the thieves, but will never submit to them ever again. ICG grades to the same standards as everyone else. Its simply a matter of opinion as to the "rank".

Again thanks to everyone for input, I just sold all 4 coins for $325, so that blows out biokems "worth what you paid" theory! Just saying...Still think deal was good And the dealer I dealt with said he would take ICG over anacs anytime and even agreed the ICG is gonna take over NGC for # 2 spot!

What I stated was reality, not a theory and ebay results back it up. [eBayItem]110931393896[/eBayItem] 1999 ICG PR70 $17.95 [eBayItem]120942489007[/eBayItem] 2000 ICG PR70 $23.84 (SILVER) [eBayItem]320933023066[/eBayItem] 2001 IGC PR70 $21.03 [eBayItem]200788528278[/eBayItem] 2001 ICG PR70 $31.00 (SILVER) [eBayItem]230831068966[/eBayItem] 2002 ICG PR70 $15.25 (SILVER) [eBayItem]290742411895[/eBayItem] 2002 ICG PR70 $27.00 [eBayItem]120934872716[/eBayItem] 2005 IGC PR70 $14.99 You got lucky by finding a "dealer" that has an overinflated opinion of ICG. With buying habits like that, he won't be in business for long and there is ZERO CHANCE of ICG ever overtaking NGC in anything. You definitely got a good deal, not so much for the dealer who is now stuck with overpriced inventory but that is his problem and not yours. I certainly cannot fault you for selling to a dealer making an offer like that

bio, that shows the influence of popular opinion. The continued insistence that PCGS and NGC are Gods and the rest mere fallible mortal scum. If that were true, that those two are the best of the best, why then is there a market for CAC? The same people that laud these two place even more value on the coins that have been confirmed. Pfffttt.
Now, I do agree ICG will not over take them, but mainly because the belief of the superiority of NGC and PCGS is so ingrained.
