I also bought a few sets... the 2008 mint report was there for all to see (and buy, since it had a cool proof coin in it back then). I noticed the rarity and bought several sets, and sold them later. I bought my last set at issue price early last year, at a coin shop. Before the prices went through the roof.
There is nothing fishy here, I think it was very astute - a coin flipper well ahead of his time...

That's great it worked out that way. It would seem to me that the interest is in the loonie in the set and not the set per se (although I may be proven wrong as the 2008 set is now listed for an exorbitant price). So there are other loonies in the 2008 and 2009 NHL sets, for example, that according to RCM annual reports are showing even a lower mintage than the 2007 wedding set. This whole thing does not make sense to me. Only time will tell.

The price of this set makes me glad I didn't get married in 2007. I'll steer clear of this set aside from finding it at a flea market.

Yingyang, I see you increased the price of your 2007 wedding set on ebay to $5,700. If you don't mind me asking, what is you pricing strategy with this set?

The seller is the Coin Cabinet (Brian Bell), I'll bet that you'll see another set in an upcoming Geoffrey Bell Auction...

This is one of the most difficult silver loonies I have tried to get (for a decent price). They only show up on ebay for a limited time before someone snatches it. Colonial acres had one sell 1 month ago but once again, too late. I do have all the other 3 2007 loonies though.

The 2007 wedding proof set contains the silver loon. There is a set currently for sale on ebay. $1250 and free shipping.
