I am not good at grading but for what it's worth I would say MS-62. John1

Quote: By the way what is going on with the 'N' of ONE; it appears doubled. Or is that just an optical illusion? What you see is a ray that runs parallel to the slanted line in the "N" As far as the grade, common dates are a little more lenient, so I couldn't see this grading less than 63. That's being conservative, I can't tell if there are bag marks or not.

I went ahead and took a couple other shots a little closer to the coin and maybe it will help a little. I want to elaborate that I want opinions on what you think it grades not what you think PCI gave it. In a couple of days I will post a picture of what PCI did give the coin. As far as Variety its nothing special just a VAM-1Y for those that thought there was doubling, it was just because of the photo. There is nothing really worth mentioning on the coin as far as doubling goes

IMO, I think it probably grades MS-63.

I'm going to stick with MS-63, mostly because the luster seems to be strong. It's a good example of a low relief coin that makes MS.

I would be surprised if it was less than a 63

I think it's an MS62, I'll be interested to see what PCI calls it since I haven't seen many of their slabs.

this is actually in a PCI MS-62 slab. I lost the image when I reformatted my computer but will take another one for all of you to see. Sorry it has taken so long but I have been working on a vehicle for a friend for the past few days plus trying to reload everything on my computer so it has been pretty hectic around here

I promised a picture of the slab and here it is. I hate trying to grade Peace dollars but I actually believe this one is graded correctly and all of you guys did really well and were very close with your grading which is a feat of its own when talking about Peace dollars as they can be all over the map in the way they look
