Terry, I agree! It is an interesting topic and perhaps one we could discuss off line sometime. I intended to offend no one. Sometimes these threads tend to drift a bit. Could you PM me and explain or direct me to where I could learn about the "Sovereign man and 7 natural "laws" we are born with"? I am intrigued. Mike Thanks!

Seven natural laws

1. your free will, 2. cause and effect, 3. resonance or attraction
4. service to others, 5.Forgiveness 6. love and respect of ourselves. 7. transmutation..

For further explanation Mike I highly recommend this site https://www.sovereignperson.com

I can even relate these laws to coin collecting by the following statement.
I love and respect myself enough to join this forum of my own free will to learn about coins I may wish to buy, with this knowledge the cause of learning, I have the effect of buying what I require based on my knowledge and I do service to my fellow collectors by sharing my knowledge without expecting anything in return, if a seller cheats me I will forgive him as he may not know any better and I'm not a jury, in full possession of the facts.. law three kicks in as I attract like minded people around me.... these laws are applicable to every aspect of our lives and as you see must all be involved ,they cannot work on their own seperately... How I live by these laws determins how the law 7 Trasmutation takes effect on me at my death... hope this helps....

PS do not think this has anything to do with religion, it does not...

This forum is Bobby anjd Susan's, but personally I don't mind anyone writing about noncoin related topics as long as they are open and respectful of others. not to sound preachy, but problems come (in my experience fo course) when folks express personal beliefs (political, religous, economic) in blanket or all encompassing ways. "all x are Y" Z's don't care about A", etc.
And Mike did ask for the info.

Hi niksfree,
Visited the site, and am a bit troubled that at sovereignperson introduction, the author writes in first person and has an "about the author" yet does not really tell the reader anything about the author- no name, age, education, detailed description of the background of this philosphy, evolotion of his thought etc. Yet the author writes, and I quote "To comprehend these suggestions, you first need to recognise and acknowledge that there IS a problem and that you may be part of the problem." Last portion is underlined for emphasis. Author is being very specific in challanging the reader. I am fine with that- but not at being lectured by the author who has an about the author section without delivering any real info ABOUT THE AUTHOR.

As long as there are no personal attacks and everything stays family-friendly, I have no problem if threads go a little off-topic. While forums are by their nature anonymous, I like it that people here want to know each other and build friendships. The only way this can happen is for some off-topic posts to happen.

We all need to keep in mind that opinions expressed here are exactly that....opinions. We all have some deeply rooted beliefs, but it is important for us all to respect that we do not all have the same experiences and lessons to draw on, so what works for some may not work for many. The sharing of these opinions helps us all to know each other better and may provide some "food for thought". Personally, I have found that considering all opinions put forth has enabled me to make many very good choices in my life - the creation of this forum is one of them.

Keep in mind as you are each sharing your opinions that not everyone is going to agree and that it is okay if they don't. This world is made up of many different people with different belief systems and viewpoints. That's what makes a forum like this so great!

SFDukie, I asked for the info so I could understand more clearly this life philosophy. I found all of the intro to be just as you stated. I felt it was very preachy and assumtive. I went on further and started to think I was reading an "L. Ron Hubbard" Scientology book! The answer is always in the next chapter or book or just around the corner. However,to each his own. I am unimpressed thus far, but will continue reading further. Mike

This line sort of stuck out to me....
E-mail me, with suggestions, links, books and documents for inclusion in this website. If they are in harmony with my purpose, I will include them (not much "community" in this statement)

Mike,
I wouldn't have thought otherwise.

Niksfree,
Please understand that my commentary is directed at the website author- not at you (unless of course you are the author- then you have some explaining to do!)

Just sneeking back on topic.
The USA half dollar is a decent size coin. About the size of the Australian 20c piece.
The Australian 50c piece is Larger still and is extremely popular. It is 12 sided and weighs 15.55 grams and is 31.5mm across.
I really don't see why "the public" don't like half dollars. If they were more available I'm sure they'd be used.
I remember my brother saying that people didn't like the Susan Anthony dollar and He'd always reply, "I like em, I'll take a million of them". LOL

Where does he want them shipped? It looks like old SBA may be the first coin to be demonatized as everyone wants them removed from circulation over here. Actually read a story recently calling for just that and that is what it would take to get them out of the Federal Reserve system and our banks!

I have heard this story in the halls of congress. There are House and Senate members who want the SBA dollars melted in an effort to get the Sacagawea dollar to circulate. The new Presdiential dollar bill has language in it to make the Sacagawea a permanent design once the Presidential series is complete. As of today, there is NO bill to remove the SAB dollar. Once the new dollar coins are in production, all small dollars will be released by the Federal Reserve to meet consumer demand.

I'd honestly rather have SBA's minted than the golden dollar.

As a coin collector I would be trying to promote the keeping of the half dollar and excerting pressure to make it in either pure silver or sterling, by removal from manufacture besides what I stated previously and appear to have been misunderstood is that when removed we have one less coin to collect, I would have thought a collector would like to have choices, not to see the hobby diminished by various means.. I suppose if I was a greedy man with a huge stockpile of half dollars I probably would encourage their removal as then I would make a huge profit selling them to those who never had one and could only get one from those who hoarded/speculated in them.

I don't think you have to worry about the half dollar. I honestly feel that it's heading for the chopping block. Congress will probably kill it by issuing a half dollar commemorative for a period of a couple of years and when its over they just cease production on the half dollar from then on. Without much fanfare around it.

LOL, I don't think my brother wanted to "pay" for those Susan B Anthony dollars, just take them off the hands of those who didn't want them and become a millionare. LOL

Darn, I was just getting ready to let my Congressman know where we could ship them! Who knows, your brother might just corner the futures market on SBA's?
