Five cent silvers in a Gardmaster album. All other uncertified denominations go into Air Tite holders with the black ring, and then into small ziplock bags to keep the holders from getting scratched up, then into single-wide cardboard coin boxes, then into the safe deposit box. PCGS and ICCS holders go into blue PCGS boxes, then into the safe deposit box.

Do you think that my "staple in evelope" way would work if I send my coins like that to ICCS? It says on their chart "send your coins in a flip or envelope."

Silver coins: Self-adhesive flips into binder pages. No exceptions, unless a coin comes with a case, and even then I prefer to buy without the case at a cheaper price if possible, though I will not decase something that I have the original case for.
Non-Silver: Standard flips.
I love having everything in one place. My favorite part of the hobby is the cataloging, and rearranging the sorting of the coins. I use it to relax in my free time.

I don't think that ICCS has ever dealt with coins stored like that.

Petersun,
At one time I had my entire collection in air-tites. Although I knew they would be protected, it was frustrating not being able to see them displayed. So I cracked them all out of the air-tites and put them in 2x2 mylar flips, then inserted them in the 20 pocket plastic pages in a 3-ring binder. I am so much happier having done this. I can flip through page after page of my coins and not have to hunt for them the way I used to do when I wanted to see them. I bought nickel holders for all my cents, dimes & nickels, and quarter, half & silver dollar sizes for the rest.

I used to go with mainly 2x2 cardboard flips, but now I use mainly PVC-free clear 2x2 flips with a paper insert to write the info on. Better for long term storage, reusable and no annoying staples (or staple scratches).

The clear 2x2 flips mentioned staple free are a pocket for a coin and a pocket for a card folded in the middle. (4x2, coin pocket one side card on other side folded in half) I don't have one here or I would shoot a picture. All mine are full of coins to cccs ICCS uses 2.5"x2.5" flips after grading, same idea.

for a while I kept my pennies in a plastic container meant for wiper blades, until I dropped them one day , what a mess. Now I keep them in plastic sleeves.

The flips I use are double pocket 2x2 flips that look like the picture below. They come with 2x2 paper inserts for writing the info on. SafeT flips is one maufacturer of these. PVC-free, so they are rather brittle and will crack break with use, but are perfect for long term storage.
