sorry didn't say it clear: I mean the BUYING PRICE the book said is too low, most of the RCM NCLT coins only worth melt value.

The price in this book is for dealers buying, not for collectors like us. Dealers buy to make a profit. Search ebay for any of those coins and you will hardly find anything close to the price listed, which tells you how much collectors are willing to pay. /thread

That is the dealers copy of the book , buying so they can make a profit. Thats why it only has a buying price, not a market value The one you want as a collector is Charlton Canadian Coins Volume 2

I believe one of the intentions of the Coin Guide is to provide a collector with a sense of what dealers might offer for each coin should he/she wish to sell them to a dealer vs. a direct sale to another collector. As such, I believe it is a book intended for collectors. The prices included in the book are not meant to be representative of what collectors are currently willing to pay for the coins (e.g., they are not necessarily representative of current prices on online auction sites such as ebay).
