I don't know what size those diamonds are from the picture but at roughly $10k I hope they are at least 1.25 carats each and clear. I have a great diamond guy that I can get 1 carat solitaires from for $2k a set depending on clarity. If you decide you want to save some money shoot me a PM and i'll send you his contact info. Not to saying they aren't beautiful and you know the types of women we hangout with love diamonds.

That JM is cool for sure congrats

The diamonds are .50ct each 1ct total, and are considered investment grade diamonds. I went the quality not quantity route lol
They were searched for long and hard, and both are Canadian diamonds which we're the only diamonds I wanted.
IF clarity, D color on one, and E color on the other, Ideal cuts.

to do that in a 1.25 carat were looking at retail around $50g's a diamond. Maybe for an engagement ring lol but not for a set of earrings.

I'm lucky,my wife doesn't like jewelry! She is content to have all of our gold and silver in coin and bar form. Maybe that's why we've made it married for 30 years!

You spent $10k for a .50 carat each that is insane. And the truth is you don't need the clearest diamonds for earrings as no one is gonna get close enough to your GF ears with a loop to see any flaws which couldn't be seen through the naked eye. Engagement rings on the other hand you want as clear as possible. I hate to say it but you way over paid for those, even in that quality my diamond guy said wholesale is $3k after the markup you should have been able to get them for 4-5k.

Honestly I would try to take them back and i'll put you in touch with my diamond guy he will set you straight,

The earrings took up a large chunk of that $$$, but I also owed him some $$$ for a platinum diamond bezel he did for one of my rolex's . I got a fair deal and he's a local business. Zales, Jared, Tiffany's all wanted $8500-$15000 for the same set. Even on the bay the diamonds in that quality are going for $4000 each starting

Hook me a pm I'd like to get my hands on a nice 3ct diamond for the future.

All gem bars as always....

To each their own, but high premium items and diamond clarity and quality varies greatly from person to person and can take much time to move so keep that in mind come re-sell time if that time ever did present itself....

Swrbxxx,

When it comes to Tiffany's products you are paying because the box says "Tiffany's" no other reason and when it comes to diamonds studs who cares if they are Tiffany's nobody would even know. I may just be confused because around my area there are absolutely no .50 solitaires that can't be had for under $1,000 per stone, Maybe like something that would be in an engagement ring might be $2k per stone. I just bought my beautiful bride a pair of 2.36 KT total weight mid clarity which shine like all get out for $2,700 this past summer. Like I said maybe I'm just losing something in the translation it wouldn't be the first time. I tend to get lost very easily in life.

That's awesome you do support your businesses I wish more of us did, support our local business's I mean. Anyway one thing is for sure you have an awesome silver and gold hoard.

Like I said i'll send you his name later on I got to find it.

Really love the poured bars! I don't like the minted/pressed bars as a rule, but Engelhard ones are the exception.

I've purchased diamonds twice in my life and looking back I don't think I've ever made a good purchase. I think I was a good consumer and did my due dilly, but I'm sure the jewelry companies made money hand over fist at my expense. I asked my wife how she'd like some gold and platinum metal jewelry without the expensive stones and she said anything is better than the zero jewelry she gets now. That's a question I've been meaning to ask, I'll start it's own thread.
