Silver just dropped sharply and is now at $29.90. Getting mighty tempting....

Don't do it, Barry! Hang on! What you're seeing right now is the "teaser" to get me to make a move and drop some serious coin at the Sunday show---and if I do
that, the bottom will fall out from under silver spot on Monday so bad that brokers will be jumping out of Wall St skyscraper windows before their mid-morning latte...

Well, if I do buy something and then your purchase drives the price even lower... I guess I'll just have to buy even more!

Well... there is that, too... However it goes----good luck and happy shopping! I would however suggest making the smaller purchase
before Sunday and the bigger one on Monday. My track record and reputation speak for themselves!

When I made my buy @ the 12/2 show I went to, silver spot started on a nosedive that it's been on almost ever since. There's been
that brief 12/31-1/3 attempt at a "comeback" (which is now almost 100% reversed), but it's been nearly totally downhill since my buy.
I'm almost afraid to think about what I'm going to cause when I drop some bucks this Sunday...

Odd that the US mint 2012 are both sold out. The 2011 were on sale until the end of Dec. Hopefully I get the 2012 silver quarters I need before they as well are pulled.

sigh, every time I purchase silver, the price drops sharply the day after lol but at least I got a good idea on some Sunshine bars and a Scottsdale.
I bought
2x 1oz Sunshine at $32 ea.
1x Scottsdale at $32.
Pretty good eh.

Well, I'm still waiting to pull the trigger on a second purchase. My wife is now convinced that prices will continue to drop and doesn't want me to buy anything unless silver drops below $29. My fear is that even if silver does drop below $29, the premiums will go up enough to wipe out the savings...

Premiums most likely will raise especially those based on percentage. My shop charges 3 percent now but I recall when spot was in the low 20s it was five

I think..... Barry is going to do well over the long term. I just want to remind everyone that it doesn't hurt to nibble a bit when you get all this panic and dumping.

Again, don't blow your entire cash tho. Buy in small lots. Longer term, I think, and I wouldn't doubt I'm wrong but for now I do think we see lower PM prices.

So buy a little, buy quality, IMHO when we get these dumps. Instead going for that grab bag of silver, go for gold. Or if Silver is in your budget, then do some proofs. (yes I know, I talk about proofs a lot, ok perhaps I am ,,, biased) but my point is, use this selling to take advantage of higher quality coins instead of quantity.

and now please carry on on adding your silver and gold! lol

So, Fat Freddy -- did you make your Sunday purchase? I'm still holding off hoping that prices will dip back down a bit...

AH HA! The cat is out of the bag, no wonder silver is stuck in neutral as BARRY has been sitting idle on the sideline....

When you think you may make a significant big buy again Barry, enquiring minds would like to know lol....

Well, I was gonna buy when Silver hit $29.30 on Friday, but Fat Freddy convinced me to wait...

Actually, my wife insisted I wait. She alternates between "I guarantee that PM prices are going to go way up" and "don't buy right now since I think prices will go lower."

Btw, I think my days of making "significant" buys may be over. Buying monster boxes was fun for awhile, but I think the most I'd be willing to drop at once is in the $3000-5000 range (basically a 100-ounce silver bar or a couple of gold coins). So I'm afraid my status as Coin Community Canary may need to be put on hold...

Heck Barry do not under estimate your canary in the coal mine power. I believe the powers to be are tracking your moves via spy satelite and even a one oz. buy gets them stirrin, lol....

Plus in my small fry view a 3k to 5k buy is pretty substaintial on any day lol....

Is it like the guy who orders gold coins in the 7 figure range, no but you know what I say about bigger paychecks, bigger bills and that is a fact Jack as Si would say, hey.....

He would be like in fact...."Back in Vietnam I could get a silver shilling for pennys on the dollar, hey!......
