This site pictures the 969 and 970 version of my white metal 971. I wonder why no mentin of this white metal token. Thanks for the info and maybe this will help windchild understand te type of token I was inquiring about. Thanks again. A.D.M.

I just like pictures

I think a thread asking ID is useless without them as we can't see the coin/ metal/ token etc... Meaning I can't add to my look for list if I like the look!

Rulau lists no rarity for this token.

On ebay, do a search for "Rulau token book" and you'll see that some of the book offerings cover to 1860. Therein, you'll find the subject piece listed. These are great reference books, even though they are outdated with regard to pricing and rarity. Collector grade, undamaged VF and better, examples of this token will currently fetch $100 or more; this, too my experience. If a high grade specimen, consider NGC for grading.

Not the smoking man. The pics on bottom of link posted by Roonydog shows my token in brass and copper-NY969 & NY970- mine is white metal NY971. Thanks for all your input-A.D.M.
