A 20X loupe and a microscope camera really help.

Your coin is a small date. The 002 on coppercoins is a large date.Wexler's 002 is also a large date.Perhaps you got the number wrong.

I do not think this is the 102. This one appears to be tilted, whereas the 102 is just north. Hard to tell from the photo if your coin is indeed north, but if it is, I would say this would be a D/D/D North and tilted which would mean 2 repunched marks instead of 1, like the 102.

Your photos are slightly closer than those on copercoins.com. The two cracks look close but can't say for sure. I do not see the reverse markers on your coin.

You can see the die break in the upper part of the "E" in CENT on the reverse macro picture. The other die break on the upper left base of the memorial is there also. The 102 on coppercoins appears to be a small date also.

Well just forget everything I posted. You are convinced at what you have and no one will be able to tell you different. With 168 RPMs listed on CC for 1960, good luck. You might as coop about this one. He knows a thing or to about the 102, seeing as he is credited with the discovery.

Your first round of pics were not very detail oriented, but you want to know if you got it right. Now you provide adequate photos to help us help you. Why so much fuss over a coin worth a couple of bucks?

Sounds like the OP is excited about finding and attributing this coin. The "worth" of the coin doesn't matter, it is the hunt that makes it fun!

I am not usually a seller, not a dealer; I know strange it's not about the money, but the education! With the tools I have this sure looks like a 102. All the markers match for a 102. Looking through 1000's of coins a week it's good to find something. I'm sharing it with the forum, have learned I need better photos sometimes. Light looks different on some of my uploads, and photos that look in focus on my computor, get fuzzy for posting. Will learn and hopefully get better...........Al

I am for all of that. It just would have been easier for us to agree with you had you shown the closeups in your first post, is all.

Learning to take picture is part of the education process. Not everyone is a wiz with the camera.
