Yes. They are stacked coin rolls. "Unsearched by me" is always in the description. And they are all cleaned and searched. Do not be fooled. As for the 2.50$ gold piece on end auction. I saw that roll sold for 399$
So. These guys are making lots of money off people willing to take a chance. And always lose.
I did find a au58 bronze IH in on once. Yes. I have bought a few. But on the cheap knowing probably nothing. But got lucky.

Classic, seeded roll scam. These are rolls with $2 worth of junk in them. There are no "unsearched" rolls on ebay. They are all a scam to separate you and your money. The first red flag with this seller is that he just happens to have roll after roll with "special" coins on the ends for sale. In a similar thread a while ago, one CCF participant told the story of selling a large lot of wheat pennies (all 50's, common mintage, nothing of value) to some guy. He told the buyer they'd been searched and there was nothing of value in the pile. The buyer said that was OK because he was saving them for his grandchildren. The CCFer later told the story to his LCS guy, who laughed and told him the buyer was known for reselling such pennies on ebay as "unsearched" (the rationale being that he hadn't searched them himself). |

He admitted to me in an ebay message he uses a dealer to create the rolls and always has nice end coins. One wonders when the supply of 1916 P mercs, and various cheap 1909 cents will run out? Also, where the heck do they get all that old roll paper from? |

On the other hand, I once bought a roll of errors nickels that had a BUTTON on the end of it, believe it or not. The laugh was that when I first found out I was a little ticked until I realizd that it was a matching button to one I had previously lost and now needed!. Turned out to be the most valuable item in the roll lol!

I haven't bought anything from this guy, but if you look at his feedback it becomes obvious why his rolls no longer sell for as much as they used to. http://www.ebay.com/sch/thebubbasda....m1438.l2654I suppose he'll eventually have to switch names and start over. There are some roll sellers who are very upfront about what they're selling, and don't show end coins. They actually give very decent value for the money, and buyers are aware of that and price accordingly. You won't get a 1909S VDB, but you will get a bunch of IHC, 19th century silver, and a semi-key or two Lincoln such as a 24D, 09S, or 10S. |

I saw a feedback the other day where someone bought a roll of 1955 D wheat cents. He gave about $6 for the roll. Inside he found a 1955 D double die. This man wasn't making a huge amount of money on these rolls. Therefore, I would say there are actual unsearched rolls on ebay. However, they are hard to find. |

Best of luck trying to find them, but I don't think you'll have any better luck than you'd have if you put your efforts into trying to find Hobbits, Ents and Orcs in New Zealand.
