Ah, the magic word "Arizona" caught my eye on this topic since I'm a Yankee transplant. Jim, I know nothing about this token, but the US National Park Service often sells souvenir tokens similar to this at its concession booths (usually part of the Western Parks Association; join it for a nominal fee and the 25% or more discount on offered books and other items can be balanced on the first purchase). All such tokens and coin reproductions are privately struck (as opposed to USNPS or govt issue) since the Association can sell almost anything it wants as long as it relates to its particular Park. While I could be wrong (happens on rare occasion ), I strongly suspect this is a Grand Canyon Natl Park concession souvenir.

Hi scoutjim99,

I liked yours so much I had to buy one. Mine is Bronze. You are absolutely right about the 3-d appearance. It is a very nice piece.

Here is what mine looks like:

Wish I could help. I just bought it from ebay. Here is the item

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...150113905336

The only thing it shows is

Solid Bronze high relief medallion minted in 1969 to commemorate
the 50th anniversary of The Grand Canyon National Park.
It measures 1 and 3/8 inches.

I paid $8.75 + $2.00 shipping for this Bronze one. If yours is Silver, I'm sure it is worth more.

It's got that MACO (Metallic Arts Company) look to it. And there appears to be some lettering at 4:00 just across from 1969. There's nothing on the edge?
