Thanks for all the info. What an interesting story behind the minting of this pattern dollar.
I am going to have this pattern coin in hand in a few hours and will take some pics and post them here.
The owner of the pattern coin did confirm to me this morning that it is graded NGC PF-67, but I haven't seen the slab yet myself. I haven't seen any (so far) with this grade so I'm wondering if there is a premium for it above what I am seeing.
Anyway, I'll get the pics up soon. He's bringing a bunch of other slabbed proof and UNC foreign coins. Perhaps there is something else in there from Australia.

Here are today's pics taken with my phone (I can get better pics with my camera if needed). I haven't come across an NGC PF-67 in the auction archives. Any comments?

Being graded that high I should imagine that it would achive a bit higher price than others that are'nt graded.
There is only 1 graded higher on the pcgs population chart, don't know about NGC as I've not looked there.

I only have a free membership at NGC so I cannot see the census report. I do however, see a pop of 1 for PF-67 when I enter the NGC number of the one I have posted the pics for. Obviously the pop of 1 is this pattern dollar. Are there any others above this grade? Thanks.

67 is the highest grade on the NGC pop from what I can see.

X-M2 MESZAROS - SILVER PFCA 1 in the 67 column

X-M2 MESZAROS - SILVER PFUC 1 in the 67 column

Bold is the coin in the pic ^^^.

Thanks very much.
From what I gather, from PCGS and NGC, there is only 1 coin out there with a higher grade.
This pattern coin is part of a lot of about 16-17 foreign proof commemoratives (all NGC slabbed, mostly high-grade proofs from the 60's and 70's)that I'll probably buy and try to re-sell. I have more time to do this than the current owner, who has sold some of the proofs on e-bay but hasn't had so muck luck with the remaining ones.
I might even list them here in our auction/pin section. Perhaps a way to offer them (including the 1967 Australian pattern coin)to CCF members before they hit the wider net. So, be on the lookout.
Thanks for everyone's help.

No. It has gone for auction. I will post the auction details when they are confirmed.
I know that in this auction there are two for sale, the one I have shown and another which I think is in a slightly lower grade.
By the way, I believe your e-mail is turned off. I get the message that you do not wish to receive e-mails.

E-mail sent.
The dollar is NGC slabbed and graded as per my pics. I also have the original velvet maroon case, and even the cardboard sleeve that went over the case when it was sent (although it has some old handwriting on it from a past owner).

For those of you who were following this pattern dollar it is now up for auction at Golbergs.
It is part of the June 2-5 auction. You can find it in the world coin part of the auction, LOT#4244.
There is also a second pattern dollar up for sale of slightly lesser quality. I am not sure by the description for this second dollar if the original case is included.

Just a final note. This pattern dollar sold for $2100.00 at June auction.
