Beware scammer! Seller listed a 1979 coin as 1779, then refused to cancel sale.

Seems both sides are idiots...buyer for bidding $61 for a $1 coin and the seller, well both for being himself AND refusing to cancel the sale.

So the buyer will get the coin, return it, and it is just a waste of time for both of the clueless clan

(it DID say 1979 in the description)...

LOL! I didn't even notice the "1779" in the description. Did the bidder not even glance at the photographs? While the color may be misleading, the date on the coin is clearly visible.

I believe the seller mistyped the date in the title BUT he lost any credibility when he listed it as a "gold" dollar

And now the fight starts. I'm sure heck be opening a buyer protection case to try and get out of the sale while the seller is obviously trying to get away with that absurd price for that coin

The sad thing is I see at least 6 different bidders.
I really hate ebay sometimes. When I put nice stuff on there I take a loss. When fools like this sell they make a killing.

Wow... I'm amazed they didn't even look at the second picture and notice that it said "1979" on it...

As for the other part, I'm amazed there aren't more people selling exotic brass coinage as solid gold. There's clearly a market for it.

When I saw the links title I thought I was sent to the wrong sale. How does one confuse a 1779 gold coin with a 1979 not so gold coin? I knew Susan B. was old but I didn't know she was that old.

I don't see why it is an ebay problem....It served a purpose for two of society's' clueless to meet
