Quote: It must be available to all those people who changed their minds after seeing the coin in person. Could be opposite case: some people started to dislike it and canceled the purchase after they saw the coin in personal.

I cancelled 2 of the moon mask coins. First because it was ugly. Second it was not moving on ebay. Perhaps it is linked? The coin is so ugly no one wants to buy it?

With the Moon Mask, it's a classic case of you either love it or hate it. I fall into the latter category. I saw one recently at my local Post Office and I got so scared, I ran out of the store and almost knocked over a shelf packed with glass Butterfly coins... I presume there were returns by equally frightened customers (like MoneyPenny), thereby allowing Grand-mère Lune to become available again. By the way, his "Awaiting Stock" business was explained to me once by a RCM employee. It means that the item is unavailable from the mint's website, but can still be obtained from other authorized RCM dealers (most likely at a higher than issue price). When all possible sources dry up, the item becomes "Sold Out". It's rare that the "Awaiting Stock" status ever changes, but like the Moon Mask there have been exceptions. Recently it was the Maple Canopy.

I thought I was going to love the moon mask coin, but didn't once the coin was in hand. The gold version of the coin pops much more. Instead of returning it, I was able to pass it off to a fellow collector who absolutely loved it.
I'm still trying to find the Pink Niobum coin that says "Awaiting stock". The listing says that it's available at boutique locations, so I'm hopeful that my trip to Ottawa in a few weeks will be productive.

Silverwolf - whereabouts are you?
CC-Ottawa - which PO in Ottawa? I'll be heading there in a few weeks (staying near Byward market). I'm banking that the mint boutique has a few still left.
Thanks

cookiecutter, you would need a car to get this particular PO from the Byward Market but I was there again today and the pinkie is still on the shelf. Your e-mail is turned off but if you send me an e-mail, I'll tell you were the PO is.
They also have several sold out coins as well as most of the coins from the April release (no butterfly though).

Three May release items reached Awaiting stock status four days before public release.
