I don't sell on ebay -I am a collector. Also, I do not identify planchets through photos. I will be at the Toronto show - downtown library, the first weekend of October.

I don't know anything about this event ? Sorry to hear that you don't sell or trade on ebay or privately Do you know anyone that can be trusted in this matter? I hear that CCCS at this point is the only company to recognize German planchet I have 11 toonies from 1996 from different sources I like to send them to find out if I have at least one German planchet what you think about this idea

I always attend 2 shows: NUPHILEX the biggest show in number of dealers (Montreal, twice a year) and Toronto Coin Expo, the best show in Canada (twice a year). Just google them for more info.
Years ago SPP and I put 25 pairs of twoonies together. Each set is signed by me. All coins are MS63. I kept 2 sets, I don't know if he still have some for sale. I would imagine these pairs can be trusted since I am the one who thought Louis Chevrier (CCCS) to recognize them. I also spoke with Brian (ICCS) but he preferred not to assign the origin of the planchets.

When you get to 50 posts, send me a personal message here through CCF, and I can sell you one of the signed sets. Don't pay $200 for a MS-63 coin on ebay... I can sell you a CCCS MS-64 for a much better price.

I know the listing you speak of. While that is a great seller (I met him at Coin Expo), that is not one of TY's sets. I think he got the idea from the sets I was selling at the coin show. TY and I only produced 25 sets from a mint box of 1996 twoonies (average grade MS-63), each one signed and numbered by TY. One set was given to Brian Cornwell, one to Bill Cross, one to Henry Nienhuis (who writes columns for the RCNA), and we each kept one set. There are only about 4 to 5 sets left I believe...

If you are into collecting coins seriously, then I would recommend joining the RCNA. Not only would you have access to this article, but they have scanned all the older journals back to the mid-1950s, and all are available online to members. http://www.rcna.ca/index.php
