if you look at another thread on counterfeiting, there is fake silver maple leafs, duck coins, all kinds of Canadian and us key dates for around 3.00 each shipped from China. This coin maybe the same scenario, why take a chance?

Well, I think can add some piece info: I've seen on ebay, same Lotus coins, similar package, but the coins had additional gilded "ring", since they lotus-shaped it not really the ring. And the COA stated that it was Asian version (do not remember, I think for Singapore). So, I assuming, that several versions for different markets were issued. But in your example - on the photo it appears as "Proof". The seller says it is UNC? High possibility that UNC for A$99.00 is the fake. If you searching for it - this one has a good chance to be sold for good price (not mine listing): http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-15-Lum...em3cd435c544Or do the offer for this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/35081776699....m1438.l2649

I've ever only heard of official RCM Asian release of the lotus with fancier packaging or modified after market with gold ring. There is nothing to suggest that the RCM minted one with a different finish altogether.

Yes, I was lucky to get that rabbit from JandM. I still couldn't believe there was no other bidders.

Wow, I did not notice that no COA was included, at least there's a 14 day return policy.

Ya. The actual images look so fake. Don't know if it is because of the photo taking technique or it is real fake.
Meh... If I was a bidder a saw these images, I will not place a bid.

I saw some local listings for this coin around $140-$160 before. I will pay a little $10 - $20 bucks more to guarantee I get a real coin. At least I can see it and feel it in hand before I take it.

I wouldn't touch this one with a 10-foot pole.

Seems like they have a endless supply. He has been selling them for a while. But after what the other seller told me, it would look as though he's selling the same version.
But again I have to say I do not have ether coin on hand nor have I seen them.
