quote: BadThad, I notice your coin holders have rusted staples. This is an indication of way too much moisture where you are storing them. Buy a dessicant pack or packs to put into where ever you are storing these and you might consider finding a drier spot. Keeping them in these 2x2's can only lead to damage in the long run. A small pinhole in the plastic will leave a nice brown spot on your coin. I think I already see this on at least one of them. Check into AMOS ADVANTAGE holders for your silver dollars. They are similar to a certified case and snap together (ie: no staples to scratch your coins by accident. I use them for all my silver dollars. Look up AMOS ADVANTAGE on GOOGLE.
Actually, I've only possessed these for a couple of months now, it was my Grandfathers poor storage habits and just the sheer age in storage that cause that. I'm going out today and get the proper holders per your recommendation....at least if the dealer closest to my work has them. You guys would just DIE if you knew how Grandpa had these stored, hehehehe.

Bump in waiting for a Morgan expert!

It's going to take a true Morgan expert to talk about the possible varieties, but those are some wonderful coins. The obverse strike on coin 2 is just stunning. The Carson City is great. I suggest posting individual posts with both pics of each coin in the Coin Grading section to get a plethora of grade and value responses.

Will do that, I only have one posted there so far, but I'll post the rest of them too.

Lovely coins ya got there BadThad!
Also you can post many pics on an individual post instead of putting one pic at a time on a post. It's less time consuming and so much easier!!
