Not my finds these ones. This lot I swapped for 25kg of English copper coins, old halfpennies and pennies. I have found a fair amount over the years but since joining this forum my interest in them has started to become an obsession!!

You could do with one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Roman-Emper...em2a32cbb41eOnly other thing I can think of is to maybe sort all alike busts into piles of different Emperors, could possibly save you some time. I'm sure you already know about Wildwinds, its pictures can be a great help when your starting out. http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/...us_II/t.htmlThe GENIO POPVLI ROMANI (large silvered coin in the middle of your second picture) looks quite nice, wouldn't happen to be a lyons issue would it? EDIT - again urls! nothing seems to want to work today!

Nice hoard you have to ID. Most of the coins in you last photo are Byzantine.

Quote: erm .... lyons issue? I collect certain ones, its like turrets, I can't help but ask It would have no mintmark on the back but a style reflecting those that came from Lyons in France. This explains it better: http://www.ebay.com/gds/Constantius...29949/g.html

Your coin looks to be from either Aquileia or Rome but some of the mintmark seems to be missing. I would guess Aquileia and the mark should read AQP or AQS.

The last photo is mostly byzantine but that one coin with the pokey beard is interesting, can we get pictures of that?
The GENIO is Aquelia mint. Keep an eye out for any Heraclea mint coins you find (particularly Constantine II).
Heres some radiate things to look out for: Rarer Gallic empire radiate - these will often be overlooked as they appear to be exactly the same bust as Postumus or Tetricus - you find a Domitianus and you'll be laughing your way to the bank
Any left facing radiate you find requires extra attention - for most rulers, they are much much rarer than the right facing bust. I have a mulched left facing victorinus.
Postumus Radiates need to be checked for milan issues by Usurper Aereolus
Carausius is very distinctive - make sure you get all of his, including all the cullworthy ones. HE has some very rare and valuable issues - in any grade.
