Excellent coin, I really like the way the patina enhances the emperors face.

Pishpash, Most ancient coins and nealry all of the coins of Rome with exception of AS Graves of the RR are struck coins.
Notice the "veins" in the metal around some of the text and top rear of Hadrians head, these are clear signs of the metal being stressed when it was struck. Hope this helps.

Pish-- it was struck.
Eng-- the blue is green in hand and on my screen. I'm going to soak it in pure acetone just in case it's PVC residue.

Unrelated, but I'm traveling today and it looks like the first flight doesn't have wifi! How dare they? lol
Not sure I can go several hours without coin social networks :/

That is one fine coin! You set the bar high for the rest of the series. Will be looking forward to seeing them! I have one of the same silver Africa type that I've posted before which is not nearly as great as TIF's coin. I also have this bronze as, ae25, Hispania, not too great either but interesting. My favorites are Egyptos, Africa, Hispania and Nilus. Check out this site if you haven't seen it. http://www.fredericweber.com/HADRIE...rovinces.htm

TIF, that coin is gorgeous. The travel series is extensive, and some are very rare, but they are really interesting coins. I hope you find others and show us them.
