Welder---One of the many delightful things about the famous RCM milk spots is that they aren't always present when the product is shipped. Sometimes
they show up later on. You just never know. Count yourself lucky so far, but inspect your coins every few months or so. The game isn't over yet.

The RCM Milk Spot Fairy may well still pay you a visit some night...

I was not aware that they have been minting the Maple Leafs for 25 years.

So another coin for my want list.

They have four different versions of the 25th anniversary in the 1 oz. size. and one of them is high relief, mintage 10k, but they want $100 for it. The other has select gold plating, also 10k mintage, but $110. The other also 10k mintage, a fractional silver set, for $200. Then, you got this other million mintage unit which will flood the market. Oh, and two 25th anny 5 oz. versions.

You're mixing a bullion coin with a NCLT (commemorative) coin.

My 25th Ann. bullion coin finally came in last week and like in SilverWolf's picture, its a beauty. I don't think the 1 million mintage will hinder the value of this coin but it will have a higher premium over the traditional CML.

I bought 50 of the Canadian Maple 25th anniversary edition. DO you think these might be worth a lot 10-15 years down the road with only 1 million minted? Thanks

ms8172,

I wouldn't hold my breath. A million is still quite a lot for the SML series. The whole thing is more of a marketing scheme to move a little extra RCM product than anything else. They'll be worth 20% more than regular bullion, maybe. But a lot? Nope. Saying all that, I still bought two just yesterday for $26 a piece ;)

I'm sure these will always have some kind of premium over a standard SML. Look at the Wildlife series, those all had mintages of 1 million, and all have a premium over a regular SML, with only the Wolf commanding a high premium over a standard SML. But I'd agree with traevin, a 20% premium is all I'd expect at the most.
