Dutch-
The Honor is yours...
You produced a contemporary coin, in fairly high grade...struck at an eastern mint. I would love an example of that reverse in that grade for my collection...
I can't wait to see what you come up with!

As a military commander and administrator, he was an important supporter and loyal friend of his mother's cousin Julius Caesar. After Caesar's assassination, Antony formed an official political alliance with Octavian (the future Augustus) and Lepidus, known to historians today as the Second Triumvirate. The triumvirate broke up in 33 BC. Disagreement between Octavian and Antony erupted into civil war, the Final War of the Roman Republic, in 31 BC. Antony was defeated by Octavian at the naval Battle of Actium, and in a brief land battle at Alexandria. He and his lover Cleopatra committed suicide shortly thereafter.

A quasi-autonomous Kingdom of Characene. Little is know about this kingdom, but it is believe they were vassals of Parthian Persia. The grew which as a hub of east /west trade. Their capitol was Charax-Spasinou in what is modern Kuwait, in the Tigris Vally. There is a notable quote that Trajan made as an old man as he stood looking out at ships leaving Charax for India, he said something to the effect of, " had I been younger, I too like Alexander would go to India." This coin circulated well into the reign of Attambelos II. Persia Kingdom of Characene Charax-Spasinou, Kuwait Attembelos I (47-24 BC) AR Tetradrachm (struck. 41 BC) 27 mm x 12.39 grams Obverse: Diademed Bust of Attembelos I Reverse: Hercules standing left, resting on club- Corrupt Greek Script- BASILEWS ATTAMBHLOS {S}WTHP
