Elagabalus 218-222 AD AR Denarius. I love the tone on this one but wasn't sure if it was all original. Some weakness in spots. Thoughts on a grade?

IGE, you coin has nice toning and is fairly well centered. There is a bit of a weak strike, but overall I would grade it at VF+.

The coin has nice detail. The surface is a bit porous and there appears to have been some bronze disease that has been treated. Overall not a bad coin and one I wouldn't mind in my collection. I would give it a grade of Fine.

That is a very appealing As of Galba. The portrait is of a relatively uncommon style, and specially the SECVRITAS reverse is fairly scarce. Certainly much scarcer than the usually seen LIBERTAS and PAX types. I usually prefer green patina, but the level of detail on this coin is quite nice and I would grade it as almost very fine. Very nice and scarce coin overall.
