...just for the protocol I did not entered any feedback request in the listing, it seems that as soon as one mentions the word "STAR" in a listing the "RED LIGHT" (warning) is being turned on...

I think you are reading more into this then there is. When I buy, I leave ratings appropriate to the transaction. Regardless of what the seller asks. Good service gets high ratings...
and you should look up "Big-Data", I don't think you know what it really means. And big-data is a new buzz word for a very old problem. ( I have been a computer pro for over 30 years)

Name it what you want, the result is raised fees in the name of the buyer!
Why connecting fee discounts with buyer feedback if not for charging a little more here and there?
Why introducing the new international shipping service if not for more profit, again in the name of the buyer?

ebay is a for profit business. Everything they do is to make a profit. That is their goal. You can always sell or buy on another site.

I don't like creepy sellers mentioning how they will leave you negative feedback if you do the same to them. It turns what is the nominally honest process of buyer/seller feedback into a twisted mutually-assured destruction pact.

...it is not about me here.
I do not get these discounts anyway.

Quote: You people seem not to get the point here. Yeah. No. Quote: "Feedback will be left for you only after your positive feedback has been left." That is unethical. Get the point?

coinworkdtv... people have been railing on ebay for many years. There is nothing to be done, other then to "vote with your feet". Business' will always do thing that are unfair tom some people. And ebay, like any other website has a right to control what is said or posted on their website.

Firstly free speech has limits. Secondly, of course all that ebay does is to make a bigger profit, without a doubt, they're a private business. And the feedbacks stars are anonymous so even if you could say what you want the buyer would leave what he wants or you want to take advantage of newbies? In my case, if I decide to leave a negative feedback or a low star, I do it no matters what the seller wrote in his listing.

That is unethical. Get the point? Its really not unethical to not leave feedback until you get positive feedback and know a buyer is happy. Thats the one thats doesn't really make sense lumping it in with the ones clearly designed to elicit a certain feedback rating. That said ebay is free to run the ebay feedback system and listings however they want

Good for ebay stepping in and putting an end to the extortion demands of unethical sellers trying to pad their feedback. Good sellers have nothing to fear from this enforcement of policy.

All this new policy will do for me is cause me to quit mentioning in the auction copy that I'm not leaving Feedback for the buyer until the deal is complete. It's imbecilic to leave Feedback while the buyer still has a chance to turn on you. What if USPS loses or damages the package? What if the buyer has a change of heart?
Do you put your review of a contractor up on Angie's List before they finish the job?
