I remember picking up a couple of very similar RCM medals at an ANA show years ago. They featured the same polar bear design on one side, but I believe a different design on the other. I'll have to dig one out and compare.

The outer boxes for both coins are just plain white box. Nothing special about it. There's nothing special about these cases either. I'll take a picture of them tomorrow.

Purchased this coin today for $20. There's no year stating on it and there's a crack on the capsule. On one side, it showed Ottawa and on Winnipeg is on the other side.

Very nice, Lostwords

I still liked the second one, "twoonie style" medallion.

The most attractive to me though is the one, "devided" to areas, shows different coins...i think, from 2011.

Waiting more neat stuff from you, resulted by some Souvenir sheets and booklets.

I have the copper and nickel versions of that gold medallion in your last post. think I only paid about 5 bucks each

Nice! The 1986 Medals are large 2 1/4 inchs dia and about 122 grams. These are super hard to find too I believe they only had a mintage of around 2000 , well done Lostwords!

darn!! I could of bargain the guy for less as he know nothing about coin. He got it from his grandpa. I am picking something up from him today as well. Will post it up once I get it.

This is the fear for some of us collectors. We collect stuffs and no one else in our family know anything or appreciated them. They will sell our collection dirt cheap

Here is my Nickel version of the mint medallion.
Cost me total of $5.95. Don't really know what the true value is though.
Just bought it because I liked it.
