I'd say try posting them on ebay at face, and see if anyone bites. If not, just dump them right back at the bank or spend them

Why would anyone buy a roll or rerolled coins like that?

As I said these are after market rolls. If they were the original mint rolls, then they would hold a premium. But these? Nope. As I said, they arent even a standard roll.
And people buy this stuff out of ignorance. No different than anything else. People listen to some sales pitch and dont bother to do any research.

And that, my friends, is why I'll never buy coins at more than face value! ;-)

Quote: And that, my friends, is why I'll never buy coins at more than face value! Hold on now. As I said, THESE coins in THIS presentation are worth only face. I sold just about every extra roll of 04 and 05 rolls from the mint at a profit. It is a matter of research as I said.

Oh sure! Just saying, why did the lady who bought these from the world monetary exchange pay a premium for them?!?! Speculation you think? She thought they'd be worth something some day?

@Agrippa, Those are what we call scams. You believe the advertisement that they will someday become worth money. But as the time go's on, you see they haven't even became worth more than face value. People who aren't collectors get tricked by them. Lets say your Cousin knows you collect coins. It's your birthday coming up, he reads a stupid advertisement paper saying these are "Rare" or "special" coins for only 5X's the face value. Well, he believed them and just bought them for you.

Yeah, that makes sense now that you put it like that. Sad that those kinds of things exist....

I saw those butt ugly reviews but I couldn't find any rolls listed as sold by them. Sounds like something they would do though....

They are the same as those full page ads in the paper touting "Golden dollar Ballistic rolls"...and show armed guards going into a Fort Knox like place with gold on a cart...but you have to call within 24 hours to get them...only available to certain states (50) ...or next week ...or next month ...and if you decide to list them on ebay put them on at a BIN. If you put them at face and charge a fee for shipping the ebay and PayPal fees will make the transaction a loss

I think I saw these on an infomercial type channel late on night on TV. like Home Shopping Network or something. Not worth any more than face value except to those people selling them and overcharging for a business strike roll. Now if they were 2009 nickels... well that would be something special. You could put them on ebay and jsut post a picture of the roil and say what the wrapper says and say AS-IS, and let whoever wants them pay whatever they want for it with a minimum bid of the rolls face value itself. Then it is whoever buys it's fault if it is not what they wanted. Just don't sell someone a picture of a roll of coins like the person that sold a picture of a video game system.

Yeah, just opened a roll and they are no different than any other bank roll nickel you'd find in the wild. I'm just gonna open them, check for spears, roll them, and redeposit them.
