OK, another question I have has got me in a tizzy.  Eisenhower albums. I want to be able to see both sides of the coins. I see the Whitman #9131 has 28 or 35 holes...don't know about the Littleton, and the Dansco has 38 spots. Are the Ike's missing from the Whitman and Littleton albums so hard to get that they just skip them or what? After seeing so many beauties on here I have decided to pursuit these coins and want to store them properly. So just go with the Dansco? ( Or if I hit the lottery, the Capitol Plastic!) |

Look at the rim..is there any copper showing? What mint mark is on it? tissue test..or ring test weight it..flip it definitly you will know if its sliver |

I found an Eisenhower checklist online that seems very comprehensive. It lists 34 coins. Picking out an album will be much easier now that I have a goal. Thanks to everyone for the nice pictures of the Eisenhower's that got me cranked up on this. |

The Dansco has 36 holes, with 32 of them labeled for standard date-mint with NIFC issues and the two varieties for 1976. Filling those 32 holes is very easy and affordable.

I found that the Littleton has 30 spaces, also saw on ebay "complete" sets of 32.....and like I said, the checklist has 34. Too many spaces would be better than too few, so I guess that makes the Dansco the top contender. Is the Dansco album the type that has the sliding plastic "windows"? If so is the correct number 8186? Thanks jbuck....hey, is that Your checklist? |

All 71 S Ikes are 40% silver
All 72 S Ikes are silver
All business strike quality 73 S Ikes are silver. (well almost all there are 2 known in CuNi clad)
All business strike quality 74 S Ikes are silver.
All Type 1 1976 S Ikes are silver
The 1973 S Proofs come both silver and CuNi clad. Identification from a photo is questionable.
The 1974 S Proofs come both silver and CuNi clad. Identification from a photo is questionable.
All type II 1976 S, 1977 S, and 1978 S Ikes are CuNi clad.

The standard set is 32 coins. Collecting the three 1972 varieties will make it 34 (which is probably what you are seeing). |
