I'm assuming it isn't accurately being represented by the picture in terms of color. I would be concerned if it looked like that in person and it doesn't look entirely real to me. It looks like a "good" Chinese fake. I wouldn't stake my reputation on that claim though based off these pictures.

the pictures are taken with my usb microscope. The color is way off on the pic. the coin actually looks more of a red to red/brown. I will try to get pics with a regular camera if I could find some darn batteries.

I don't like it... if it's real, it's not original.

Hard to tell from those pics. Can you get a better picture?

Quote: Hard to tell from those pics. Can you get a better picture? is there a particular part of the coin you need to see? I am starting to think the consensus is that this is not a real coin. But, my only question would be what is the difference? Weight is right, metal is right, coin is struck the same. So, is there any difference?

Looks real to me I have a feeling this one looks nice and original in hand. Luster looks really nice in the first set of pics and although the color looks more accurate in your later post, lighting is a bit flat. Personally, I like it :-)

Definitely genuine. I'm having trouble with the color. I dont think the color is original. UNC details. If it were to grade cleanly, I cannot see it going higher than a 64 with a few spots and a few marks on the cheek. Nice coin overall though.

Is it worth sending into a TPG?

If it were me, I would not. I think best case scenario is 64RB. With a $30+ grading fee, I just think the risk/reward is not there.
I think this would appeal more to a IHC/Type Set album.

Well I ended up getting a PCGS membership so I could send in some of my March of Dimes proof and reverse proof Roosevelt's. Well as a by-product for their membership you get 4 free grading vouchers. So I decided to send this in and here it is...........I am a little disappointed
