I'm also in DFW and it really is all Denver mint stuff around here.

I think as a general rule, you'll find mostly Philly mint east of the Mississippi and mostly Denver Mint to the west of it.

I'm not sure...in Michigan (lower peninsula) I seem to find more Denver than Philly, but it usually equalizes itself out to a half-and-half average after a few boxes. But when getting standard box-less rolls from banks, it's 75%+ Denver it seems.

Are coins distributed banks, etc. directly from the Mints?
OR
Do they go through the Federal Reserve Banks like currency?

(I'm siding with the Fed Banks.)

I'm in New England so mostly I get P mints. However, the older the coin, the more likely I'll get a D mint. It's almost impossible to find a 2014-D or even a 2013-D. But it's a little easier to find a 2000-D, and the 1964-D is more common than the 1964.

I live in Ohio and get mostly Philadelphia mint coins, but I do come across a lot of Denver too.

Here in Atlanta it's mostly P mint coins for coins less than 5-10 years old.

Also, San Francisco hasn't made any circulating coins (with a mintmark, at least) since the 1980 SBA dollar. West coasters might have seen a lot of S coins 40+ years ago, but I think the S mint cents and nickels have dispersed across the nation by now.

When I lived in San Jose in the mid 70s, I frequently got S cents in my change, but as the years wore on D took over.

I remember as a cashier in August 1978, breaking open a roll of BU 1978 P cents and thought wow! We started seeing a lot of those, as well as no mintmarked 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1982. Years later I was to learn that these were minted at San Francisco.

I'm not sure how this happened to you, but here in Detroit it's mostly "P" coinage, and you'd be 'lucky-er' to find Canadian coins instead of "D's".
As stated before, Denver mints normally take around 2 years or more to make their way to the east, but every so often you get surprised and find some.

man, I've gone through 80 rolls to finish off my LMC set and my 2008-p is still weak and so are my 2009-p cents. still missing one of the types. the stack of LMC are 2009-d. I have 20 more rolls to go through. I need several more posts to reach 50, so when I do, I'd like to trade some Ds for some Ps. even the late 1990's D cents I'm finding are looking great.

No rhyme or reason here in WI.

One week I'll get solid box of 2014P cents and the next week I'll get a solid box of 2014D nickels.

Here in Joisey we get mostly P mint stuff (Philly is just across the river). However, I have been noticing many D-mint Statehood and National Parks Quarters lately (almost disproportional, it seems). Can't explain why, though. I have to go to Vegas in October for a wedding, and I presume that almost everything will be D, although I'll bet (wink) that there will also be many P's out there, due to the gambling industry, even though I believe that slot machines no longer take coins (DARN!). I'm missing a few D JFKs, so perhaps I'll try to get a few rolls of halves while I am out there.
