That is a no brainer, Spend them!!
Of course it is tough walking around with $30 to $40 in quarters in your pocket, you tend to lean to one side, unless you divide them evenly in your pockets.

I have all 1965-98 quarters except for the 1968 quarter as said earlier. I am keeping at least one quarter from each of these years. Should I try to get all P and all D for each year? Or just keep one from each year and then put the rest back into rolls and get some nickel and/or dime rolls?

Welcome to the forum SportzStar! Since you have almost assembled a full date/state set of clad quarters already you might as well go for a full set with mintmarks too

Now if you lived in Illinois, you could help feed our toll roads with thoes. Also, use at laundromats, waitresses tips, purchasing a newspaper or use the entire amount for just gas for your car.

I worked at a gas sation last year. Right after Katrina, when gas was like $3.20, I seen SUV's put $100 pluss in them.

Thanks for the advice and RLK, I did 2 quick counts and came up with $49.75 both times, I think I'm forgetting a bicentennial quarter I put away though. All the rolls look exactly the same, tan with orange writing and say COIN-TAINER® so $49.75 or $50.00, I got what I paid for.

Found about $8 in quarters I had in a bag and the first quarter I see is the 1968 I'm missing. I now have 14 years with both a P and D quarter. I'm gonna go to the bank and take four $10 rolls of quarters and exchange for nickels and dimes.

Welcome to the forum SportzStar.
You have such a good start, maybe you should buy an album or folder and start collecting by date and mint.
Regarding fuel, I set a new personal record today by filling my truck and paying out $76. I think that's about what I paid for my first car.

SportzStar, I too collect the quarters, but only the state series. My thought is that being as you have the most part, or at least nearly halp of them, why not go for the rest? You live where you have the ability to look fior both the "P", and "D" MM with an even chance of finding them. We "out West"m\, have to be content with the "D imn the majority. The same applies to the East coast. Instead of going thru a doubtful set of Ha;f-open rolls, get them from the bank at face value, and/or get them by the box, ($500.00), and return those you don't use, (or spend them for cents, or what ever. O find everything under the sun in the rolls that are NOT delivered by the Armoredcar service. THe delivery type boxes are usually filled with more common circulated coins, but there will be Canadian quarters, , or some other "same-sized" coin in the rolls, now and again. Dick

Lol Gary I hear that when gas was well over 3.15 a gallon here I spent 84 dollars to fill my truck up from the needle being broke off past the E, well not really but you get the point. Gas costs more per month then rent some months sigh.
