I hate it that in order to choose negative, I have to call you an idiot. As to the ebayer, I wouldn't buy anything from him. If a person has sold damaged coins on ebay without including that in the description, I woundn't even look. But if it's worth the risk to you, the price seems right.

I've never bought from him before, but I looked at some of the other auctions he sold in the past and some of those coins were damaged but they were disclosed to the buyer. He seems to give pretty good descriptions(but has no pictures) and all of this past buyers seemed pleased with him.

I dunno, but for just $10 you can always skip a lunch and you will be no worse off!

I hope it works out for you, but I can't believe a "25%" planchet clip that circulated. Best of luck, though!!

No pics, no bid. Couldn't care less about their feedback because without GOOD photos, I won't get that far.

That's what I was thinking when I was reading the auction. quote: I dunno, but for just $10 you can always skip a lunch and you will be no worse off!
Exactly, it's only $10 bucks. Pics will be posted when I get it.

I don't like being repeditive but I always say you just have to go to a coin show. Those are all over the place. Usually for $1 to $5. Just becoming to common and I wonder how many are real.

Sorry Amazon, but you afforded me the opportunity by default to refer to you as an idiot. I was hoping I would never have to do that here in CC, but you invited it. Back in 1997 when I first got on ebay, most auctions did not have images then, you hoped it would meet your expectations. Nowadays, no pic, no bid. Otherwise you are taking a gamble. Hope it works out for you, but if it doesn't to go find who is responsible, visit the wash room and go look in that shiney thing that looks like a window

I would have liked to vote "curious". I think idiot is too harsh and genius is, well, not applicable. Like others have said, it was $10. Jim

I also would say idiot but never to your face. unlike Sagan who said you are fat lol sorry Sagan I don't do this normally. well yes I do lol that was a joke y'all. anyway I am with a few here that would say that the clip is not a mint error. if it was it would never have circulated it more than likely would have went straight to a flip even back then. plus the ruff edge on the top looks too much like a lineman's plier mark to me (i am a lineman so I know). now to put in a good word for Sagan. we could all miss a meal a day sometimes. but if you seen me you would know I have never missed one. lol Gary

I agree with your guys, I'm pretty sure that it was done after the mint(ex: crooked cut, sharp edge, etc). Looking for my next gamble.
